Sautéed flat bean goma-ae

Goma-ae is a typical side dish of Japanese cuisine. It is made from vegetables and sesame (ten means sesame and but means seasoned).

Normally, we boil vegetables in water first but here, I offer you a simpler recipe. You can prepare this dish with just one pan in 15 minutes.

Goma-ae can be kept for 5 days in the refrigerator. Also perfect for bento!

Ingredients: for 4-5 people

500g flat coconut beans
2 carrots (optional)
2 tbsp. tablespoon of sesame oil
2 tbsp. tablespoon of Gomashio (mixture of toasted sesame and sea salt, you can buy it in organic stores)

Preparations:

Wash the beans and cut the flat bean pieces, then cut into pieces of approximately 3cm. Wash the carrots then peel them and cut them into thin 3mm slices.

In a pan, pour a drizzle of sesame oil.
Sauté the cut vegetables. When the vegetables have browned, sprinkle them with Gomashio.

Serve as an accompaniment to a dish, in fact it goes just as well with fish as with meat.
