Low in calories, it’s a quick and healthy dish!
Konjac (konnyaku: 蒟蒻) is a natural food made from the root of a plant. It is low in calories, its very high fiber and vitamin B6 content gives it many health and slimming benefits. It is also a very effective natural appetite suppressant.
It is its glucomannan content that satiates us. Its texture in the mouth is a bit crunchy and meaty and it has me hooked!
Konjac doesn't really have any taste, it's easy to season and incorporate into dishes.
Ingredients: for 4 people
2 packets of konjac vermicelli (300g)
1 carrot
2 tbsp. tablespoon of sesame oil
2 tbsp. soy sauce
1 C. tablespoon of sugar
some sesame grain
Preparation :
- Konjac vermicelli is often sold in a container filled with water and tied into knots.
You can undo these knots first.
Then pass them in boiling water for a few minutes to remove the specific smell of konjac (either in the saucepan or in a large bowl filled with boiling water).
Cut the bottom of the container three times with scissors and drain the water (this way the vermicelli are shorter and easier to eat).
- In the meantime, wash and julienne the carrot.
- In a heated pan, pour the oil and sauté the carrots.
Add the konjac vermicelli.
Season with soy sauce and sugar.
Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
You can keep it for 3 or 4 days in the refrigerator.
