Here is your first Japanese knife for you: very light, does not rust, and cuts so well!

This is a range of knives designed for women by the Japanese designer Misa KUROMOTO.

Description :

Blade length 16.5 cm

The Bunka versatile Japanese knife is ideal for all small and medium-sized jobs. This knife has the same functions as the common form of Santoku apart from the brunoise size, it allows you to work with foods of all sizes, from meat to fruits and vegetables.

Traditional technique × Female hands

Until now, most traditional cutlery was designed predominantly by male artisans, but kasane knives were designed from the ground up from a woman's point of view for women's hands.

The technology and experience cultivated by long-time manufacturer "Sumikama", founded in 1918 in Seki in Gifu Prefecture, are integrated into the manufacturing of kitchen knives.

The knife is incredibly lightweight, easy to handle, as well as pleasant to use every day.
It is the first cutler that cares about its users, the most active in the kitchen but paradoxically the least well equipped.
Kasane will delight all lovers of Japanese design and of course lovers of fine cutouts.

A high hardness stainless steel blade:

The blade handcrafted East difficult to rust and has excellent cutting sharpness.
A sharpening zero edge which is distinguished by a thread worked from the first grinding with an optimal finish and without burrs.

Functional aesthetics: Studied ease of use.

Reworked ergonomics with a grip away from the body.
The weight of the knife is reduced to approximately 100 g (Bunka knife), which is approximately 50% lighter than equivalent knives.

Reworked ergonomics with a grip away from the body.

A rare wild cherry wood handle "Yamazakura" from the Gifu mountains in Japan. The Yamazakura is not only a solid matter more excellent in terms of water resistance. It also has a beautiful luster of color created by polishing, which provides natural warmth, both aesthetically and to the touch.
The sobriety of the handle combined with the quality of steel used (the V-EDGE) make it a modern and efficient range of Japanese knives. The entire handle without rivets resists time and wear.
